About rare earths
The rare earth elements are not geologically rare so much as commercially concentrated: the difficulty is separation, and separation capacity is held by a small number of processors worldwide.
Demand is dominated by permanent magnets — neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium — which sit inside traction motors, wind turbine generators, robotics and defence systems. Other elements in the group serve catalysis, phosphors and precision optics.
Because supply is concentrated and specifications are exacting, rare earth transactions depend on processor relationships and on documentation that survives export-control scrutiny. Mattar Mineral Trade builds those relationships before offering material, not after.
