About lithium
Lithium is the defining input of electrified transport and grid-scale storage. It reaches battery producers through a processing chain — brine or hard-rock ore, to concentrate, to battery-grade carbonate or hydroxide — and each step narrows what a given parcel can be used for.
Cathode chemistry decides the requirement. High-nickel chemistries generally call for hydroxide, while LFP production is carbonate-led, so a lithium enquiry without a stated chemistry and impurity ceiling cannot be quoted responsibly.
Mattar Mineral Trade works with producers and converters to align material against the buyer's qualification requirements before commercial terms are discussed.
